✍️ How do you come back to yourself?

Happy Monday, Reader.

When life gets busy and emotions run high, it’s easy to slip into a habit of rushing—moving from one thing to the next without taking a moment for ourselves. Over time, this creates a kind of chaotic energy that leaves us feeling off balance.

That energy feeds on itself. The more chaotic things feel, the more we rush. The more we rush, the more lost, disoriented, and unlike ourselves we become. Before we know it, we’re vibrating like we’ve had 30 cups of coffee—except it’s not caffeine. It’s the stress, overwhelm, and emotional charge of constantly trying to keep up.

This cycle can feel impossible to break. And when we’re in it, it's hard to focus on what might actually help.

So, this week, we’re going to explore small, doable ways to calm and re-center your energy—even when life is hectic. You’ll create a go-to list of things you can reach for in the moment, so instead of spiraling further, you have a way to come back to yourself.

Start with this journal prompt:

What small things help me to stabilize my energy?

Begin by thinking back to moments when you felt unsettled. What helped you calm down or come back to yourself? If nothing comes to mind right away, turn this prompt into a mindfulness practice for the week.

Each day, notice when your energy starts to shift—what triggered it, how it felt, and what helped you rebalance (even a little). At the end of the day, jot down what worked. Over time, this will become a personal toolbox of grounding practices you can reach for when things feel overwhelming.

Here are some examples of things that help me stabilize my energy to get you started:

  • Take a bath
  • Workout
  • Reiki
  • Sitting on my patio
  • Visualizing myself energetically tethered to the core of the earth.

Remember, you don’t need a huge amount of time to shift your energy—just awareness and intention. Even the smallest act of care can create space for calm and clarity to return.

Keep adding to your list as the week goes on. You might be surprised by how many simple things help bring you back to center. And when life starts to spiral again (as it sometimes will), you’ll have your own personalized toolkit ready.

Have a great week,

Andrea

Journaling prompt

Happy Monday Reader, this week’s journal prompt is to help us explore how we identify ourselves. Who am I if I am not ____? Start by picking an identity that we most align to. Then put that in the blank. From there, I would recommend you do a free write and let the answers just flow. Try not to answer from your mind, but your heart and intuition. Don’t forget to add things that aren’t roles, such as compassionate, loving and supportive. Each day this week you can put in a different identity...

journal

Happy Monday Reader, here is your journal prompt for the week: Where has my thinking been too narrow? How can I expand how I am viewing this? What alternate options are there? Frequently when we try and problem solve, we don’t expand our thinking wide enough. We get stuck in what we are used to or can imagine. But often the answer sits in something we don’t even know or recognize. This week we are going to try to expand our mind to find solutions. Start with creating a list of problems you...
