1 Easy Tool to Help With Overwhelming Stress

Hi Reader, recently the biggest question I have been getting is how to control the stress and overwhelm from everything that is going on in the world.

There is a lot going, and even if you aren't paying attention to the news, you are most likely still picking up the energy. Especially if you are an empath or highly sensitive.

The problem with this?

It creates more stress for your body to deal with. And that stress that you're holding on to... could be affecting your body, mind and spirit in dramatic ways.

Research is showing more and more that stress is the leading cause of so many of our modern problems. But it can feel overwhelming on where to even start with stress relief, when everything seems to be continually piling up!

But there are ways that you can deal with minimizing the stress. And get yourself to a place where you can reclaim your life and energy - without going to live in a cave.

One of my favorite is to use tapping. Other wise known as EFT - emotional freedom technique.

When you add this to your daily self-care routine you can start to release the intensity of the emotions. EFT will calm your amygdala down (the part of the brain that freaks out) and help you get to the rational parts of your brain. Even if you don't even use words, just the act of tapping will help calm you down.

The way that I do this is I keep my regular morning routine of mediation and journaling. But then at the end of it, take what I journaled and do some tapping on it. It doesn't have to be long, just a few minutes can help you shift into a calmer state. (This is also a great process for re-framing limiting beliefs.)

Don't know how to tap? Not to worry I have a couple resources for you to help you learn.

I wrote an article about how I taught myself. I share every resource that I used to learn and which ones I would use again if I was starting over. You can read that here:

It's that time of year where the Tapping World Summit is coming up. It is free and one of the ways that I learned how to tap. You can sign up for a free video series before it starts on February 24, so you can start learning how it works and reduce your stress. This event has been attended by over 3 million people over the last 16 years. It is a truly life-transforming event that you don't want to miss out on.

Sign up here for the Tapping Summit.

You got this,

Andrea

A woman holding a cup of coffee and a book

Happy Monday, Reader. When life gets busy and emotions run high, it’s easy to slip into a habit of rushing—moving from one thing to the next without taking a moment for ourselves. Over time, this creates a kind of chaotic energy that leaves us feeling off balance. That energy feeds on itself. The more chaotic things feel, the more we rush. The more we rush, the more lost, disoriented, and unlike ourselves we become. Before we know it, we’re vibrating like we’ve had 30 cups of coffee—except...

Knowing how to meditate, journal or do any other technique for self-discovery, is just part of learning more about yourself. Beyond doing your habits, they need a place to be done! And yes, they can be done anywhere. I have journaled on the side of a creek on a hike, meditated on a plane and created a little space to do my...

Journaling prompt

Happy Monday Reader, this week’s journal prompt is to help us explore how we identify ourselves. Who am I if I am not ____? Start by picking an identity that we most align to. Then put that in the blank. From there, I would recommend you do a free write and let the answers just flow. Try not to answer from your mind, but your heart and intuition. Don’t forget to add things that aren’t roles, such as compassionate, loving and supportive. Each day this week you can put in a different identity...
